Charlotte Episode 4 Review

There is the absence of character development for episode 4. The episode failed to characterize the baseball player who uses his telekinetic abilities. The episode only foreshadowed some details about the player but didn’t elaborate on them.

It turns out that the baseball game is the means for his development however the development for him is not that evident for this episode. When the council group won the game, there was a small change in the character of the baseball player but the intention of not joining Hoshinoumi Gakuen is still questionable. The intentions regarding that is still not yet evident since the series is at its first half and there are few more elements that needs elaboration.

A little comedy is entertaining but it may become critical if it will affect the characters’ progress throughout the series. The characterization for this episode favor Kurobane Misa while the characterization of the rest remains fairly good except for Yu who got left out entirely in this episode.

So far, the direction of this series remains simple and good however there are areas that needs more focus to clarify the real motive for this show in general. The real problem is still not clarified. But overall, the show is entertaining and relaxing to watch. Supernatural fans may find this series too simple. I’ll continue to watch this to observe its progress.
